Student Governance Groups 

  1. College of Pharmacy Student Council
    To serve as a unified voice representing the student of the College of Pharmacy, facilitate communication between the faculty and the students of the College of Pharmacy, serve the students of the College of Pharmacy by initiating programs that will benefit or aid the students of the College of Pharmacy, and to provide a central forum for all student organizations within the College of Pharmacy.

  2. Dean's Student Advisory Committee
    The Dean's Student Advisory Committee (DSAC) is a group of students who work with Dean Linda Maxson and Associate Dean Helena Dettmer for Academic Programs and services for the advancement of the College. The student members raise issues of interest or concern for the group to discuss and bring to resolution, issues that may range from instruction to degree requirements, from advising to research opportunities, from course availability to internship experiences.

  4. Executive Council of Graduate and Professional Students
    To unite the Graduate and Professional student governments, to facilitate collaboration among its constituents, and to advocate as the representative voice of all Graduate and Professional students.

  5. Graduate Student Senate
    The GSS is the duly constituted collegiate association of the Graduate College and is the primary representative, administrative, and service organization for the graduate students at the University of Iowa. It serves as the voice of the graduate student population to the university administration, faculty, and to all other organizations at the University, and within the Iowa City community. Furthermore, it assists in the administration of resources designated to graduate students, and works to establish and maintain programs and activities of interests to graduate students.

  6. Iowa Student Bar Association
    Iowa Student Bar Association (ISBA) acts as the student government at the law school and is both a collective voice for the student body and a source of organization and funding for a variety of college activities and programs. The ISBA provides opportunities for students to get involved, be informed, and have fun. To keep you informed, ISBA brings in speakers, sponsors events with other orgacnizations, and published the ISBA newsletter, which is distributed to each student.
