We plan to represent the University of Iowa on a national level by becoming sanctioned in the United States Bowling Congress' Collegiate division and competing in their tournaments held all over the country. Typically we will compete anywhere from 5 to 8 tournaments per year.

  12. Iowa Atlatl Team
    The purpose of The Iowa Atlatl Team is to help students develop a familiarity and appreciation of the Atlatl in a fun and safe environment. An Atlatl is a primitive hunting technology which makes use of a lever to throw a projectile with greater force and accuracy then could be accomplished by hand. Atlatls have been identified as far back as 30,000 years and predate the appearance of the bow and arrow on every continent but Africa and Antarctica. Developing an understanding of the Atlatl provides students with insights into the economic which would have to have been overcome by humans throughout our history.
